Taylor Rowe: Inspiring Community and Empowering Change

Welcome back to A Good Pour! I’m Kathryn Good, and today’s conversation is a special one. We’re diving into the heart of a truly inspiring story—one that shows how small beginnings can lead to incredible change. I’m excited to introduce you to Taylor Rowe, the powerhouse behind Live Love Nashville. This is my first conversation with Taylor, and I can’t wait to explore how her simple idea turned into a movement that’s making a real difference in our community.

A Heartfelt Beginning

Taylor’s journey started back in 2017, while she was working a regular 9-to-5 job at an oral surgery office, just trying to make ends meet. But something tugged at her heart. When she heard about the basic things some kids in local schools were going without—like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and pajamas—she felt she had to do something. Even though she wasn’t in a place financially to give big, Taylor knew she could still make an impact.

That’s how Live Love Nashville was born. What started as a simple collection of items for kids quickly grew into something more. Taylor wasn’t looking for fame or recognition; she just wanted to help. Soon, her small acts of kindness snowballed into a community-driven effort that took off in ways she never imagined.

Small Steps, Big Impact

What really makes Taylor’s story unique is how she went about building Live Love Nashville. Instead of asking for straight-up donations, she started selling T-shirts, with all proceeds going back into the work she was doing. This simple idea turned out to be a brilliant way to spread the word, get people involved, and fund the initiative.

By the end of 2017, Taylor realized she had tapped into something special. What had started as a holiday effort to help kids was now a full-blown nonprofit, addressing food insecurity, hygiene needs, and more. It’s incredible to think about how far things have come since those first T-shirt sales.

A Community That Cares

One of the moments that sticks with Taylor the most came after the devastating tornado that hit Nashville. Just hours before the storm, she had moved a warehouse full of supplies for kids in need. And in a stroke of grace, those supplies were spared, even though the tornado caused massive destruction to nearby homes and businesses.

The community didn’t just sit back—they showed up. People offered trucks, space, and hands to help Taylor move those supplies again. It was a reminder of the power of people coming together. When you’ve got a group of people ready to rally behind a cause, even in the face of disaster, it’s proof of the strength we have when we work together.

What Good Work Looks Like

For Taylor, doing “good work” goes beyond just getting things done—it’s about putting care and kindness into every action. It’s making sure that people not only get what they need but also feel supported and uplifted. She’s a big believer in the idea that you don’t have to have a ton of money to make an impact. You can give your time, your skills, and your heart.

That belief is at the core of Live Love Nashville. It’s about lifting others up, showing kindness, and making sure that no one in the community feels forgotten or left behind.

Finding Balance

Taylor’s passion for Live Love Nashville keeps her busy, but she also knows the importance of stepping back and recharging. She makes time for some good sleep and even indulges in a little “junk TV” now and then. And coming up, she’s looking forward to a family trip to Disney World—because even superheroes need a vacation!

Looking Ahead

As Live Love Nashville continues to grow, Taylor is focused on both the short-term needs and long-term vision for her community. Her kids, Addie and Aiden, are right there with her, learning what it means to give back and help others. It’s clear that this work is not just a moment in time for Taylor—it’s something she’s building to last.

Taylor’s story is a powerful reminder that even the smallest spark can light a flame that burns bright enough to change lives. Live Love Nashville is a testament to what one person, with passion and heart, can do when they’re determined to make a difference.

Thank you for joining me today on A Good Pour. Taylor’s journey with Live Love Nashville is proof that you don’t need to have all the answers or the resources to make an impact—you just need to start. Until next time, let’s all take inspiration from Taylor and find ways to spread a little more love in our own communities.
