Choosing Family, Growing Together with Haleigh Holt

Some conversations feel less like interviews and more like catching up with a dear friend. That’s exactly what this week’s episode of A Good Pour was — a chance to sit down with Haleigh Holt.

If you’ve been around Good Circle Marketing, you know Haleigh. She was our Director of Operations, my right-hand person, and the one who helped hold the threads of our growing business together. Today, she serves in a smaller role as our business coordinator — because when she gave notice earlier this year, I just couldn’t let her go completely.

The Hard Choice That Was the Right One

When Haleigh told me she needed to step back, my heart sank. But I also understood. Family comes first. She and her husband Lance have two little ones, and she felt the pull to be home more — not just home with a laptop and to-do list, but really present.

And that’s what she’s doing. She shared how much she loves being there for her kids in the small everyday moments — the funny glasses, the giggles, the growth. “I’m not just checking boxes anymore,” she said. “I get to be in the moment.”

Growing in Patience and Confidence

Looking back on her years with Good Circle, Haleigh shared how much she learned. From patience to perseverance to the courage of simply figuring things out.

“Even if it felt new or intimidating, I learned to put my mind to it and figure it out,” she said. And she did. Haleigh stepped into marketing with little background but a lot of heart, and she grew into a leader who not only managed tasks but carried the vision with me.

What Good Work Means

For Haleigh, good work isn’t only about clients or campaigns. It’s about dependability. Clear communication. Consideration.

She explained it so beautifully: “When you’re really listening, whether it’s in a discovery meeting or with your family, you make people feel seen and heard. That’s what matters.”

The Unexpected Gift of Change

As much as I miss her daily presence, Haleigh stepping back gave me the push I needed to rethink the way we worked. It forced me to pause, regroup, and build more collaboration into our team. And now, with new faces and fresh energy, Good Circle is better positioned for the future.

But here’s the truth: Haleigh is still part of our story. Still helping with invoicing and scheduling. Still cheering us on. Still loved by clients who ask about her often.

The Bigger Picture

At the end of our conversation, Haleigh reminded me of something important: Good Circle was always meant to grow. Not just in size, but in impact. Because every business has a story worth sharing.

And while her season looks different now, the good work continues — in her home, with her family, and in the legacy she helped build here.

Haleigh, thank you. For saying yes when I asked you to take a chance. For growing with me. For reminding all of us that family is always the right choice.

We love you, and we’re so grateful you’re still part of this circle.
