At A Good Pour, we’re all about celebrating good work in our community. In this episode, I sat down with Becca Ftitts, owner of Bit O’ Heaven Catering, to hear her heartwarming journey from corporate restaurants to running a family-driven catering business right here in Gallatin.
A Legacy of Love and Southern Hospitality
Becca’s story begins with her mom, who founded Bit O’ Heaven back in 2005. With a passion for feeding people and a knack for Southern hospitality, Gay planted the seeds of what would become a thriving business. When Becca joined in 2014, she brought her corporate restaurant experience and a vision for growth, transforming the business into a staple of the Gallatin community.
From pre-game meals for high school football players to partnering with nonprofits like Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Jesus Provision Ministries, Bit O’ Heaven’s impact extends far beyond the kitchen. For Becca, good work is about nourishing not just bodies, but also hearts and connections.
Feeding the Soul Through Community
One of the standout parts of our conversation was Becca’s commitment to local sports teams. For nearly eight seasons, Bit O’ Heaven has provided pre-game meals for Gallatin High School football players, creating moments that go beyond the food. “It’s just a meal,” Becca says humbly, but to many of these kids, it’s so much more—a connection, a memory, or even the best meal they’ll have that week.
Becca also shared the joy of her partnership with Jesus Provision Ministries, which serves Nashville’s homeless community. Whether it’s feeding football players or those in need, Becca’s team believes in making every meal an act of love.
Building a Culture of Care
Bit O’ Heaven’s success isn’t just about good food; it’s about a strong team. Becca has fostered a family-like culture where her crew feels valued, heard, and supported. From starting the day with prayer to celebrating wins and navigating challenges together, her team embodies the warmth and care Bit O’ Heaven is known for.
Becca credits much of this to her corporate background and a deep belief that people don’t work for companies—they work for people. “You can have the best marketing, the best food, but if your customer service isn’t good, none of it matters,” she shared.
Prioritizing Self-Care to Pour Into Others
Last year, Becca took a transformative step by focusing on her own mental, spiritual, and physical wellness. Through counseling, Bible study, and a commitment to self-care, she found clarity and balance that’s made her a stronger leader and person. “You can’t pour from an empty cup,” she said, echoing the very heart of what A Good Pour is about.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that taking care of ourselves allows us to show up more fully for others—whether in business, family, or community.
Closing Thoughts
Becca Fitts’s story is one of perseverance, heart, and a deep commitment to doing good work. Whether she’s feeding a football team, catering a wedding, or serving the homeless, Becca pours out love and generosity in everything she does.
If you see Becca or her Bit O’ Heaven team at an event, take a moment to say hi and enjoy a meal made with heart. Thank you, Becca, for sharing your journey and for all the good you bring to our community!
